Kids in Boston are still in school and the past week has been filled with field days, field trips, and other special events. My big kid has a hard time with schedule changes, so this season is particularly challenging. I spent all of yesterday in his classroom helping out and didn’t have time to write this newsletter.
We’ve been eating— and well— but for the life of me I can’t remember what. Chris made beans last night, creamy with tomato sauce.
I’ve turned out batches of cookies for teachers’ end of the year presents. Sand dollar snickerdoodles, chocolate pretzel shortbread, and coconut lime bites. Summer in a bucket.
But really, we’ve just buckled down hoping to ride out the June crazies with minimal disruption. Which is why I’m going to take a brief break from the newsletter and come back again mid-summer once our routines are established again. Until then, happy eating!
